From this document , it can be seen that the price of a burial in Hathern cemetery in 1931 was just over £1. Note the confirmation that the cemetery was established in 1896. The receipt is for Susannah Dexter to be buried in the unconsecrated part of the Cemetery and was received by Mrs. R.M. Benton Junior (Barbara, wife of Richard Maurice Benton who we can see in the electoral roll of 1924 living at the Dewdrop with his father). The receipt is signed by H.Price (Harry Price) then the Parish Clerk.
